Live demo¶
These are NetMap's own offline interactive reports, the same files you get from Export → Interactive report. They run entirely in your browser, with no install or server. Everything works: the map, clicking hosts, search, filters and every tab. The only thing missing is live capture, which needs NetMap running on your own computer.

| Demo | What's inside | Try this |
|---|---|---|
| Browsing sample | 30 seconds of an imaginary home network: a laptop on Wikipedia, YouTube, GitHub, world news sites and Amazon, and a phone using WhatsApp, Instagram, Spotify and iCloud. 36 servers in 11 countries. | Click the big circle in California, open the DNS tab to find the trackers, and filter Hosts by Unencrypted. |
| Security-alerts sample | A short synthetic capture that triggers every alert type. | Open the Alerts tab, then click an alert to jump to its host. |
Both captures are synthetic
They're generated by make_sample_capture.py and make_demo_capture.py. The server addresses are public addresses of well-known services, and "you" is placed in London. The demo pages are rebuilt from the latest code every time the site is published.
Use your own capture¶
To see your traffic, install NetMap (a one-minute setup), then click Watch live or drop a Wireshark file onto it. Your data never leaves your computer.
